- BA in Arts Management from The Ohio State University
As the Administrative Assistant at Urban Arts Space, Kate is passionate about facilitating arts experiences and coordinating initiatives to welcome artists and community members into the gallery with open arms. While completing her BA in Arts Management at The Ohio State University, Kate also worked at Urban Arts Space as a student intern. She values the opportunities presented at Urban Arts Space for artists to find support and empowerment in all stages of their journey.
With a background in painting, digital art, and ceramics, Kate has found her artistic home in the world of cyanotypes and anthotypes, both photography processes which use sunlight to develop photographs. She aims to expand the boundaries of traditional cyanotype processes by joining them with watercolor, digital art, poetry, and illustration. Drawing inspiration from the ways in which art resonates with the rhythms of the natural world, her work explores themes of home, womanhood, renewal, and the cyclical processes of life.
